Resident Evil Village on PS4 and Xbox One: Details

Capcom reported on the progress of the development of Resident Evil Village. According to the developers, the game is planned to be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and on the current generation consoles – PS4 and Xbox One.

However, as the studio representatives have said, there is no guarantee that the game will still be released on PS4 and Xbox One. Resident Evil Village is the tenth major game in the Resident Evil series and a direct sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. The release of the game is scheduled for 2021.

Capcom also streamed concept art by Ethan Winters, the protagonist of Resident Evil VII and Resident Evil Village, gameplay snippets for the upcoming game, and 25th-anniversary art. Resident Evil Village is due out in 2021, but the game's exact release date has not yet been announced. On March 22, 2021, Capcom will begin to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise – it was on this day that its first part was released.

The team's key task is to convey the scary feeling of being part of a real horror movie. Developers need to realize deep immersion, so all sorts of little things are essential. Besides, players will have much more freedom, and many difficulties and tasks can be overcome and completed differently. The horror team counts on people's ingenuity.

In Resident Evil Village, in the role of Ethan Winters, we find ourselves in a mysterious village, which the developers describe as a full-fledged protagonist of the project. The details of the project are still few, but the developers promise to share new information soon. In the meantime, while we are waiting for the game, you can endlessly fantasize about what its new chapter will become. It will be something terrifyingly beautiful that is hopefully worthy of waiting.
